Pink Lemonade Stand Challenge

Social media strategy and content planning

A social media strategy created to help the Pink Lemonade Stand Challenge increase awareness, highlight community participation, and communicate its mission more consistently.

The project focused on building a reliable content system, organizing intern contributions, and creating posts that encouraged more people to learn about the organization and host their own lemonade stands.

The goal

Create a more active and recognizable social presence that could support fundraising, feature participant stories, and make the organization’s impact easier to understand.

What I worked on

Content strategy
Developed content pillars focused on education, fundraising, participant stories, intern spotlights, and upcoming lemonade stands.

Content planning
Created monthly content calendars with post concepts, captions, campaign ideas, and recurring social series.

Team coordination
Managed content submissions from interns, organized deadlines, and helped ensure the organization had enough content to maintain a consistent schedule.

Social media management
Supported the planning and publishing of Instagram content while keeping messaging aligned with the organization’s mission and visual identity.

The results

During the first full month of the strategy:

  • Instagram impressions increased from approximately 160 to more than 9,000

  • The account reached more than 2,325 people

  • The organization established a more consistent and structured posting system

The outcome

The new strategy gave the Pink Lemonade Stand Challenge a stronger foundation for sharing its mission, featuring community members, and maintaining an organized social media presence throughout the year.
